Preston 1997 Faux Red Red (Dry Creek Valley)

A light but pretty Châteauneuf-style wine, with 27% Mourvèdre, 24% Grenache, 21% Cinsault, 14% Carignane and 14% Syrah. Rich, juicy fruit and tea flavors ride an ultrasilky texture. Finishes soft and dry if not especially complex. Try with pâté, pizza or picnic ham.
