92pointsPrince Hill 2017 Clone 95 Pinot Noir (Dundee Hills)

Oregon pioneer Dick Erath, who collaborates with Laurent Montalieu on this project, originally brought Clone 95 cuttings from Burgundy's Clos Vougeot vineyard. These new plantings, now about a decade old, have a Pommard-like, fruit-forward character. Sassy cherry, orange, tangerine and a generous splash of acid keep this fresh and vibrant, though already drinking quite nicely. Enjoy this now–2026. Paul Gregutt
