91pointsProteus 2015 Sirens White (Willamette Valley)

Editors' Choice

Principally Pinot Gris, the rest of this blended white is a mix of Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer, all fermented in stainless except one glass carboy. It's quite dry and has a lush, leesy mouthfeel, with loads of skin flavors more than fruit. The refreshing minerality, overall balance and exceptional length all place this in a category beyond most traditional Oregon Pinot Gris. Paul Gregutt
