Proulx 2016 Merveille Red (Paso Robles Willow Creek District)

Damp earth, new leather and red-plum aromas show on the nose of this blend of Grenache, Zinfandel, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. There's a sour aspect to the palate, where gamy flavors overtake the red-plum fruit. Matt Kettmann
