Punt Road 2020 Pinot Noir (Yarra Valley)

This is bright and bouncy Yarra Pinot without much too winemaking fuss. The nose is as vibrant and red-berried as the cherry color suggests, backed by soft savory, spicy and sappy notes, thanks to some whole-bunch fermentation, and pretty rose petal notes, too. The palate is lightweight but with fleshy fruit. There's not as much crunchy acidity one might hope for in this style, but chill down slightly and it's likely to be a major crowd-pleaser.
