The quinta of la Rosa is perched dramatically on the north bank of the Douro close to Pinhão. The house itself has great views of the river. This LBV is attractively fruity, with sweetness, generosity and soft tannins. Flavor of sweet chocolate and dried fruits make it very appealing. —R.V.
