Quinta do Carmo 2000 Red (Alentejano)

Well-balanced, with alcohol levels under control and acids providing a tangy finish, despite coming from a hot growing region. The heat shows up in the wine's flavors, which lean toward dried or roasted cherries. Hints of caramel and oak intensify on the finish. Joe Czerwinski
