There's a surprising amount of depth and complexity to this wine, given it's price tag. Initial minty, earthy aromas give way to a core of crème de cassis, blackberry and black plum fruit. The medium-weight palate is plush and creamy, with concentrated black-fruit flavors that are framed by a solid tannic structure. Hints of char, tobacco and cigar-box spice unfold on the finish. It should hold well through 2022, but it's an absolute pleasure to drink now. Lauren Buzzeo
