Rancho Sisquoc 2019 Sauvignon Blanc (Santa Barbara County)

Wet cement, yellow-apple, honeysuckle and underripe peach aromas show on the nose of this bottling. It's a tad richer than many other Sauvignon Blancs, but it works on the palate, where pear galette, baked apple, cinnamon and an ashy minerality ride a tense structure. Matt Kettmann
