Ratzenberger 1998 Bacharacher Kloster Furstenal Riesling (Mittelrhein)

Despite the unfortunate name, this is a very pleasant sparkling wine, offering a concentrated apricot nose. The flavors carry plenty of fruit, along with some earthy, ashy flesh. Some ashy bitterness is the only off note. —P.G. Paul Gregutt
