87pointsRavenswood 2004 Teldeschi Zinfandel (Dry Creek Valley)

The hot vintage enormously ripened the grapes, so what you get is a wine that's almost like a fruit reduction sauce. But it's dry and has enough acidity for balance. Really strong in blackberry jam, cassis, cherry and cola flavors, it's a big, bold wine, enriched with a dash of Petite Sirah and Carignane.
