Strong, saturated fruit flavors of raspberry and cassis are cloaked in substantial oak flavors – the wine spent 34 months in new French and American oak barrels. There is some volatility and sharp acids as well; it's a bold style that will appeal to those wine drinkers who really like the flavors of new oak barrels. Paul Gregutt
