RedHeads 2016 Night of the Living Red (Australia)

Any wine blended with Durif, Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga is bound to be a beast. This wine charges out of the gate with plush plum and brambly berry fruit, cola, dried herbs and a vanillin, charred-oak aroma. The palate is unsurprisingly full and rich in muscular tannins and ripe fruit. It's a touch hot and the oak feels a little chunky for the moment. Christina Pickard
