Pure Syrah from Pepper Bridge and Seven Hills vineyard fruit, this is a crisp, clearly defined, true-to-variety style, showing dense, tannic, peppery and smoky fruit flavors. Lovely details (lavender, smoked meat, molé) emerge as the wine breathes in the glass. It's supple and disarmingly forward, but there is plenty of power in the finish, which seems to gather strength as it extends fully across the palate.
