The wine's aromatic set includes black cherries, apricots, sandalwood and a note similar to meat fat hitting the coals as steaks grill over a campfire. The wine feels soft and round in the mouth, with silky tannins and just enough acidity for the jammy blueberry and black-cherry fruit. There's also a touch of freshly brewed Indonesian coffee, spiked with French vanilla creamer. Michael Alberty
