85pointsReiterer 2006 Schilcher Classic Blauer Wildbacher (Weststeiermark)

The classic, highly crisp (call it acid) rosé of Weststeiermark is an acquired taste, currently a cult in Vienna. Think of its cassis and piercing redcurrant flavors with food (perhaps fish or seafood) and this style makes perfect sense. To drink young, but not too chilled or the acidity kills the fruit.
