Rémy Ferbras 2017 Terre de Mistral Red (Rasteau)

Whiffs of charred thyme and sage lend savory undertones to ripe, elegant blackberry and plum. A full-bodied but stately blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre sourced from sandy marl soils, it's elevated by lingering complexities of spice and earth. Drinks well now but should improve through 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
