Despite showing forced sweetness, this Catalonian blend always delivers in its price category. There's dusty lemon-lime and powdered sugar aromas and flavors along with papaya and green melon. It's never going to be a sophisticated white but it does get the job done for $5.99. And because of that there will always be a market for René Barbier Mediterranean White.
