Renwood 2002 Grandpere Zinfandel (Amador County)

Tough and mouth-numbing in tannins, this Zin benefits from enormously ripe cherry, berry and cocoa flavors that emerge through the astringency. It's very dry. Best with barbecue now, because it doesn't have the balance to age.
