Reustle 2019 Dolium Prayer Rock Vineyards Grüner Veltliner (Umpqua Valley)

What distinguishes this from its companion GVs is that this was entirely fermented in concrete modeled after the Roman clay dolia. This seems to soften and smooth out the mouthfeel, putting more rock into the native minerality. The fruit is full and round, mixing Meyer lemon, pear and peach. The acidity balances it nicely. It's the first of the three GVs from this vintage that you should drink up. Paul Gregutt
