Rex Hill 2017 Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

This cuvée is mostly a blend of fruit from the Jacob-Hart and Alloro vineyards. Tasted at three years of age it has smoothed out, so what may have been somewhat bitter herbal highlights are softened and matched to fig and briary berry fruit. Barrel aging 11 months in one-third new French oak adds a finishing streak of espresso. Paul Gregutt
