Reynolds 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon (New South Wales)

There is some varietal character in this dark, dry red wine, notably the black currant taste. But it's thin in body, and marred by overripe notes of raisins and prunes. High acidity only adds to the impression of austerity and hardness in the mouth.
