A luxurious Malbec-and-Cab-led blend that spent 22 months in new French oak and hardly shows it. The nose is sweet and deeply fruity, with floral violet notes and chocolate. It's seriously dense in the mouth, with chewy tannins, roasted blackberry, exotic spice and tobacco flavors. Roasted and rich on the back end, with broad swaths of berry fruit and texture. Drink now through 2013. Michael Schachner
