Initially this shows plenty of wood on the nose, but with time slightly herbal aromas of berry and cassis rise up. In the mouth, this is blocky but healthy, with a mix of blackberry, cured meat, carob and herbal flavors. A moderately creamy finish with ample oak closes things out. Drink now through 2018; only 360 cases produced.
