Winemaker: Pierre Wahl. Spicy and somewhat warm black-fruit aromas and flavors of blackberry, plum and boysenberry are laced with hints of black pepper, licorice, violet, sweet smoke and char. The medium-weight palate is supple and approachable, with medium tannins that offer ample structure but are not too astringent or firm. Approachable now, but should cellar well through 2022.
