Rincon Mountain 2018 Estate Barbera (Paso Robles)

Intriguing and dark aromas of stewed berries, dark cherry and mocha show on the nose of this bottling, which retains freshness even as the alcohol levels creep high. It's clean and layered on the palate, with baked strawberry and more cherry as well as that cocoa and espresso spice. Matt Kettmann
