Robert Biale 2018 Basic Black Red (Napa County-Sonoma County)

This is a coferment of Grenache, Alicante Bouschet, Early Burgundy, Zinfandel, Syrah, Carignan, Tempranillo and Petite Sirah, aged in French oak. There is a sweetness to the oak on the nose, leading to lush, expansive tannins and an earthy mix of blackberry, plum and espresso. Virginie Boone
