Robert Hall 2012 Port (Paso Robles)

This aims for a traditional Port, with the customary Portuguese mix of 43% Alvarelhao, 28% Souzao, 16% Tinta Cao and 13% Touriga Nacional, all aged for 24 months. Purple flowers and blueberries dominate the nose, and the palate proves a bit cloying and sweet with blackberry flavors, although black pepper and acidity show up to enliven the finish.
