Robert Mondavi 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon (Oakville)

A muscular Cab that combines aggressive tannins with ripe succulent fruit. It's all here: currants, berries, cedar, and smoky oak, in a young, tight wine that's nowhere near ready to drink. But there's harmony and balance. Properly cellared, it could be very interesting in a decade.
