86pointsRobert Mondavi 1999 Sauvignon Blanc (Stags Leap District)

One of the more austere examples of the vintage, this is a terrifically lemony wine, dry as dust, with high acidity that makes it tart and just this side of sour. It's a very clean wine, one that scours the palate and prepares the taste buds for food: Goat cheese comes immediately to mind.
