Robert Ramsay 2010 Par la Mer Red Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

Sharp and spicy, this blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault leaves a slightly yeasty finish. The three grapes seem a bit at odds, not entirely comfortable in the same bottle. A second bottle was tasted, and the fruit flavors—especially from the Grenache—proved to be more focused and pure. Paul Gregutt
