Robert Renzoni 2014 Sonata Red (Temecula Valley)

Tightly wound aromas of black plum and crushed slate emerge with patience on the nose of this bottling, a 50-50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and the Brunello clone of Sangiovese. Leather, loamy soil, oregano and marjoram flavors show on the palate, with is dense and thick but soft and well structured. Matt Kettmann
