90pointsRock Wall 2016 Sicilia Vineyard Fiano (Sutter County)

This is a great change-of-pace wine, rather full in body and rich in texture, but with zesty grapefruit and rose petal aromas and buttery almond-like flavors that are more savory than simply fruity. As if Italian native Fiano wasn't a rare enough grape variety, the winemaker blended in 15% of Coda di Volpe, an even lesser known Italian variety. Jim Gordon
