Rockburn 2013 Pinot Noir (Central Otago)

This is ripe and muscular without being overly oaky. Cherry fruit is supported by a balanced dose of cedary oak, but the tannins come largely from the fruit, suggesting decent aging potential. The finish is dry, firm and long, further bolstering that impression. Drink 2017–2025. Joe Czerwinski
