Rosemount 1998 Roxburgh Chardonnay (Hunter Valley)

Lemon and lime are the aromas, mingled with the smoky vanillins of oak and a lot of leesy notes. It's a tight wine, lean in flavor, steely in texture. Don't look for enormous fruit. This is an angular, structured wine with high acidity, meant for aging.
