Rosemount 1999 Hill of Gold Cabernet Sauvignon (Mudgee)

Rosemount's new offering opens with a pleasant vanilla, oak and dark berry fruit nose. On the palate, the fruit takes a backseat to dominant wood. Oak and cedar flavors reign here. It's a little high in acid and tannins to be an easy drinker, and it finishes long and dry with a tart edge. Try with grilled sausages.
