Deep aromas of baked black fruit and berry syrup come together on the hefty, very ripe nose. The palate is persistent and offers depth, but the fruit seems a tad overdone and murky. If richness and a soft texture are what you're after, then this wine will suffice. Just don't expect much acidity or complexity. —M.S.
