The wine's earthy nose includes fresh-turned soil and mushrooms, along with notes of Chelan cherries and butterscotch. There's a little red cherry on the palate, but bittersweet dark chocolate and orange pith flavors dominate. A decent amount of acidity, with grippy tannins. Michael Alberty
