Wisps of char and smoke seep through this seductive Spätburgunder, adding a spicy, shadowy mystique to bright blackberry and cherry flavors. Penetratingly ripe, yet briskly balanced, it lingers richly, deeply on the finish. It's delicious now, but has enough depth and firmness of tannin to improve through 2020, and likely beyond.
