Ruhlmann 2017 Granit S Riesling (Alsace)

Earth, beeswax and dried lemon peel on the nose of this wine hint at some evolution. The palate counters this impression with precision and chiseled freshness, but also shows an evolved backdrop of earthiness and stone. The wine conveys something crystalline and bright alongside a richness evoking lanolin and citrus. Intense, vivid and dry, the wine continues to evolve. Drink now–2030. Anne Krebiehl MW
