Rusack 2005 Rancho Santa Rosa Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills)

Young and tight in acidity now, with a bracing mouthfeel, but it's one to cellar for a few years. Dry and elegant, it shows a good balance of sweet cherry and cola fruit with earthier notes of Portobello mushrooms and balsamic. Best after 2008.
