A woody nose smells of maple and spice. This is a racy feeling Cabernet with full tannins and a lot of wood-based resin to the palate. Lightly herbal plum and berry flavors are accented by heavy wood spice, while hickory is the key flavor on the finish. Despite heavy oak, this is a top-notch Cabernet to drink over the next five to seven years.
