Rutz 2001 Maison Grand Cru Chardonnay (Russian River Valley)

This is a high-acid Chardonnay that's not one of those buttery fruit bombs. It hits with a mouthful of minerals and stones, as well as lees and oak, but there is a tantalizing hint of lemon curd and peach yogurt. Will benefit from a little airing.
