Saffron Fields Vineyard 2015 Pinot Noir (Yamhill-Carlton)

Again in 2015 this offers reserve-level density and extra complexity, with the added bonus that it's the winery's biggest production Pinot. Winemaker Tony Rynders loads it with appealing cinnamon, caramel and milk chocolate components from aging in half new French oak. This is all nicely integrated into a base of fresh raspberry fruit. Tasty and ready for near-term drinking. Paul Gregutt
