Very firm and tannic wine with surprisingly high alcohol for the Loire. The wine certainly is rich: wood, caramel and dark chocolate are all present as well as the spice of Cabernet Franc. They dominant the red plum fruit flavors and give a very dry aftertaste. The wine needs 2–4 years to soften out.
