Salwey 2016 Oberrotweiler Kirchberg GG Pinot Noir (Baden)

Editors' Choice

Edges of char, sweet spice and beetroot accent opulent blackberry and plum flavors in this velvety Pinot Noir. Black fruit flavors are concentrated and fresh, but whiffs of tilled soil and bramble lend savory elegance. Tannins are fine grained and supple already. It drinks well now but should reach peak between 2022 and 2030 and hold longer still. Anna Lee C. Iijima
