Sambuca Secolare

The aroma is oily, fat and pleasantly anise-like. The palate entry is a tad harsh and more minerally than botanical; the midpalate is pleasant, if indistinct from many other good but not great sambucas. Concludes well as the anise flavor finally steps up to the plate in the throat. P.P.
