A promising sign for this variety in this appellation, this bottling, of which 50% was whole-cluster and the other 50% fermented carbonically, offers aromas of plum currant and bay leaf on the nose. A zesty acidity and grippy texture frames lavender, turned earth and purple-fruit flavors on the palate. Matt Kettmann
