San Antonio 2012 Heritage Blanc White (Central Coast)

Sleek yet strong aromas of canned peach, white flowers and banana-lemon custard characterize this blend of Viognier, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris from both Monterey and Paso Robles. Fleshy tropical notes of banana and mango rule the palate, with marzipan and vanilla-laced smoke too. A bitter citrus rind tension holds throughout. Matt Kettmann
