88pointsSan Pedro 2008 1865 Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc (Leyda Valley)

Younger is better when it comes to 1865 SB. Tasted alongside the older 2007, this wine is brighter, more focused, more balanced and ultimately more fun and flavorful to drink. It is direct and clean, with passion fruit, green pepper and freshness on the nose. The palate shows green fruit, bell pepper and grapefruit, and the finish is intense. Michael Schachner
